NetCut is a program for scanning the local network and getting information about all connected devices. It supports simultaneous work with several network adapters and is available for Windows, Mac OS and Android. One of the advantages of this scanner is its ability to protect your network from ARP spoofing attacks by hiding SSID, workgroup with the following substitution of MAC-addresses from surrounding devices.
Program Features
NetCut for Android has the following functionality:
- detect devices connected to the local network, and get their MAC addresses, IP, equipment ID, list of ports used;
- change MAC address;
- copy MAC address (you can simulate connection of other equipment);
- easy scan for vulnerabilities (only basic);
- elective disconnection of users from network (if you have appropriate rights).
Some features only work on rooted devices. The application only runs on Android 5 and newer (because there at the system level WiFi can work in scanning mode).
NetCut on PC, besides the above mentioned features, can also:
- switch between the network adapters on the fly;
- change the gateway on the fly (even if you use a hotspot, because the program evaluates the repeater as an additional equipment)
- reduce the alert about connecting new devices to the network.
The interface of PC version is in Russian. There is custom translation for Android version, the developer also promises to add it in future. The program is fully compatible with ARP.
