Termux is a Linux terminal emulator for Android devices (works not only on smartphones, but also on AndroidTV set-top boxes, tape recorders running Android Auto). With the utility you can get on your device quite working Linux without a graphical interface, but with a fully functional terminal. It is most often installed to be able to interact with various exploits, cracking or intercepting passwords.
Program features
The application can be downloaded either as an APK file or installed from GooglePlay. The application does not require root access; all terminal commands are executed in a separate "container" (this prevents damaging the gadget operating system itself as Termux cannot access system files without root access).
As a package manager this terminal uses APT (as in Debian and Ubuntu-like OSes), but it is not compatible with their repositories! Source code is open and available on Github.
Features and functions:
- automation of scripting (exploits);
- programming (python);
- Termux support is integrated with SSH (you can connect remotely to the terminal from your PC);
- installation of most Linux programs (which can be used from the terminal).
With current versions of Termux, it is recommended to use Android devices with version 7.0 or higher.
Who needs it
With Linux terminal experience, Termux turns your smartphone (tablet, set top box, car stereo) into a fully functional tool for cracking, finding and intercepting passwords and data. New exploits are regularly released for it, so the terminal's functionality is limited only by the developer's imagination. You can also download Termux to use
Metasploit Framework. You can use it to interact with SMS bomber (with synchronization via SSH), for DDoS, for hidden data sending from the device etc.
